Uses of Bubble Film Packaging
Air bubble film is widely used to protect a range of products by cushioning surfaces and absorbing impact, helping to prevent any damage from shock or vibrations during transport and storage.
It is particularly suitable for irregularly shaped items and fragile items. For boxed or structured items, bubble film wrap can be used to line the inside of boxes or wrap individual products before placing them in the box. This creates an effective cushioning layer to help minimise movement during transport.
If additional protection is needed, we also offer anti-static bubble wrap for electronic items to reduce risk. Bubble packaging can also be combined with other packaging solutions, such as Polystyrene Loose Fill.
Environmental Impact
Is it recyclable?
Bubble wrap film is typically made from polyethene and may be recyclable, depending on your local recycling centres.
Is it reusable?
Bubble wrap film is highly reusable. It can be used repeatedly for packing, storage or moving locations.
Is it made from toxic materials?
It is generally non-toxic and is safe to handle during normal use. It doesn’t pose any risk. However, it should not be ingested and should be kept away from small children due to it being a suffocation hazard.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is bubble wrap suitable for all products?
Bubble wrap is highly versatile and suitable for a wide range of items, particularly fragile or surface-sensitive goods.
Can bubble wrap be reused?
Yes, bubble wrap can often be reused multiple times, provided the bubbles remain intact and continue to offer adequate protection.
What bubble size should I use?
Small bubbles are ideal for lightweight and delicate items, providing surface protection against scratches and minor impacts. Larger bubbles are better suited for heavier items, offering greater cushioning and shock absorption. Our team can make sure you choose the right bubble wrap for your needs.
Does bubble wrap protect against moisture?
Bubble wrap offers some resistance to moisture and humidity, but it is not fully waterproof. For items sensitive to water, it’s best to combine them with additional protective materials such as custom polythene bags.
